Development and Deployment of a Cloud-Based Management Information System (MIS) for Promoting Resilience in Household and Communities Vulnerable to Climate Change in Satkhira Project.

Agrogoti Sangstha (AS), established in 1988 and registered as an NGO in 1998, works to improve the lives of vulnerable communities in Satkhira and Khulna through interventions in climate change, human rights, health, education, gender equality, Trafficking and livelihoods. The organization currently operates under six core program areas: (i) Promoting Climate Resilience & Sustainable Livelihoods (ii) Upholding Human Rights (iii) Advancing SRHR & Community Health & Nutrition Revolution (iv) Empowering Youth, Women & Child (v) Strengthening Good Governance and Social Accountability (vi) Institutional Sustainability. AS is presently implementing 11 major projects, namely: IKI Small Grants, SRIJAN, Ashshash, SIRRM, Grow School, BNF Bangladesh, SAPATH, ARC, JAAGORON, PUSHPA FUND, SONGJOG Project. To effectively manage project activities, monitor progress, track results, and meet donor reporting requirements, AS requires a simple, user-friendly, and cloud-based Management Information System (MIS). The MIS will facilitate real-time data collection and monitoring, improve data accuracy and consistency, reduce manual reporting processes, and support timely, evidence-based decision-making while strengthening organizational transparency and accountability. Purpose The purpose of this assignment is to design, develop, and operationalize a centralized, cloud-based Management Information System (MIS) for Agrogoti Sangstha (AS). The MIS will serve as a comprehensive platform to capture, manage, analyze, and report project data in real time, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, improving organizational efficiency, and strengthening accountability to communities and stakeholders. Through this system, AS aims to: Modernize the monitoring and reporting processes across multiple projects. Facilitate timely, evidence-based decision-making at both field and centrally. Enhance data quality, transparency, and accessibility for internal and external stakeholders. Build long-term institutional capacity by equipping staff with the tools and skills to manage data effectively. Objectives The overall objective of this assignment is to design and implement a centralized, cloud-based Management Information System (MIS) that enhances data management, monitoring, reporting, and decision-making across Agrogoti Sangstha’s projects. The specific objectives are to: 1. Establish a centralized platform to securely store, manage, and retrieve all project-related data, integrating historical and ongoing datasets (baseline, midline, endline), beneficiary profiles, activity tracking, and MEAL monitoring into a comprehensive and accessible repository. 2. Enable real-time data capture and synchronization from the field, allowing staff to input information via mobile devices or tablets in both online and offline modes, reducing reporting delays and minimizing manual data handling. 3. Ensure donor compliance by project logframe indicators, monitoring annexes, and reporting templates into the system, with automated features to generate timely and accurate donor-compliant reports. 4. Strengthen data quality assurance through validation rules, error checks, and verification workflows, ensuring that only reliable and verified data is used for reporting and decision-making. 5. Integrate cross-cutting themes (gender equality, social inclusion, climate resilience) with disaggregation by sex, age, religion, location, livelihood type, and other relevant variables to provide deeper analytical insights.
